At our location in Wedel near Hamburg, we are looking for a Global Medical Affairs Lead Hema­tology & Cellular Thera­peutics (all genders).

About the role

We are seeking a strategic and visionary Global Medical Affairs Lead to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for shaping and execu­ting the global medical strategy for desig­nated thera­peutic focus areas of Hematology & Cellular Thera­peutics. You will lead a team of scientific-medical professionals, drive cross-functional collaboration, and ensure the inte­gration of medical insights into product strate­gies to support the over­all business objectives.

Key responsi­bilities

  • Lead and further develop the Global Medical Affairs depart­ment in align­ment with business unit goals
  • Define, implement, and oversee the medical stra­tegy for assigned focus areas. Integrate medical stra­tegies into broader product stra­tegies to ensure alignment across functions
  • Serve as the primary medical represen­tative and point of contact for all scien­tific and medical inquiries
  • Manage and prioritize depart­mental acti­vities and resources, including financial and human capital
  • Build and maintain a robust network of global Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)
  • Develop and implement stakeholder-oriented training concepts

Your profile

  • Proven experience in medical affairs leadership roles, ideally in a global setting
  • Strong strategic mindset with the ability to translate com­plex medical insights into actionable strategies
  • Excellent communication and stake­holder manage­ment skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage depart­mental budgets
  • Advanced degree in medicine, pharmacy or life sciences preferred; docto­rate (PhD, MD, PharmD) is of advantage
